PLN question

     How do you think we can abolish bad grades and rise to our goals?

    Question- I think if we procrastinated less and did our homework more often, we would do better

  3. we can do that by cutting our educational hour at least one or two times a week and have a class to just help us out and so we can finish our homework or get caught up like heritage does their advisory's

    2) You loooked up from your cards often and spoke clearly. A little fast, but good!
    3) We have to pull ourselves away from distractions and force ourselves to try harder. I like what you said about helping eachother.

    Question: Effort is the biggest factor in these situations. It is all about whether you actually want it and try hard enough.

  7. Jodee did so good! she is a natural speaker. She was loud and stayed on topic. Good job!

    A: I honestly don't have an answer to that one. I think maybe if the teachers worked with us more, we wouldn't be so cautious every time we did a test and had to speak to the class.

  8. Your speaking skills were really good and you did a good job.Your content was also good and you used a lot of good vocabulary, but it seemed like your ideas bounced around a lot. I think students should do whatever they want with their lives and be able to fail if school is not a priority for them.

  9. I think I did Okay, but I think I could of used a little more volume in my voice and made a little more contact with the audience, I also repeated my self a few times and stuttered.

    Question: I feel that with extra hard work we can get our grades to what we want and acomplish what we want to be in life.

  10. Writing: You had good content in your response, you could have made it a little longer though. Speaking: you ad good volume but could have made a little more eye contact. Question: I think to get rid of bad grades we need to be motivated more.

  11. Speaking skills: you did a good job speaking at a level where the whole class could hear you. You made good eye contact and did not always look at your note cards.
    Content: your presentation was good i followed your topic well and you explained it so we could understand it.
    Question: I dont think we can abolish bad grades there are always going to be students that either dont try or dont understand the material.

    I think the only way to abolish bad grades is to make kids care about school, and/ or abolish procrastination.

    Your speaking skills were ok, no trouble in the voice but you look at your note cards through the time.
    Answer: I think to destroy bad grades we need to focus on your schoolwork and mostly on homework. Homework is there it challenge you into knowing about what you are learning.

    Content: You had a very in depth article and made connections, it all flowed and I understood all of it.
    Answer, I think that in order to abolish bad grades and rise to and above our goals, we need to get our priorities straight and focus on schoolwork and not games, and our social life.

  17. Speaking- You didn't make very good eye contact and you looked like you were relying on your note cards too much. However, I really liked the tone in your voice/how you said it. It had a nice sound and you were clear and loud enough.
    Content-Your summary were good overall but your response didn't really pop.
    Question-I think we can abolish bad grades by having an extreme goal in mind. If you want to go to a good school like Stanford, you need to get extraordinary grades.

  18. Speaking skills: Wow Jodee! I thought you did awesome. Your voice level was perfect and you spoke incredibly clear. I can tell that your practiced. A couple things I did notice though were that you sort of rocked back and forth but I see it in everyone, including myself, and another thing is you used your note cards a good amount. You did make good eye contact though! Wonderful presentation!

    Content: You made some points that I didn't think about! I agree with your whole opinion! It was well said and it made sense! Your opinion didn't downgrade the article, it just simply stated that Mark Sherry wasn't exactly fair to all the hard-working students!

    Question: I think one thing that the teachers can do is make the learning fun! This may sound cheesy but you want your students to listen to you and engage in your information! It really makes a difference.

    Content: I thought your PLN was well written. I liked how you voiced your opinion, but also explained the article in general.

    Question: I think we can abolish bad grades by focusing not only on school life, but home life as well. Sometimes I feel like teachers don't realize that we have more to do than just homework.

    contemt- it was good that you put the summary and your own response and opinions together.

    Questio- I really think it depends on the people. Some kids tend to have natural talent for studying and getting good grades, some kids don't although they might be smart. I think teachers and parents would be the best to rely on for help.

  21. Speaking- You spoke clearly so I could hear everything you said. You did a good job at using your note cards, but I think you could rely on them a little less.
    Content- You summarized the article well. In your response you did a good job at making a self to text connection. This helps the audience to see how your opinions were formed and it is a way to back up your point.
    Question- To abolish all bad grades students need to want to reach their goal. There can be rewards and teachers can enlighten kids to see what their futures could look like.
